This hound – Boomer has been patiently waiting for his forever home for more than two years!  What a sweetheart.  He tried to climb in my lap when we were taking photos.  Boomer was picked up by our local animal control as an injured stray.  We believe he had been clipped by a car.  His left eye was injured and he had some scrapes on his face.  In addition, he was extremely thin.  Boomer had probably been on his own for some time.  Boomer needs a family who will commit to him being an indoor dog.  He also has to be leash walked for potty breaks and exercise or his family has to have a 6-foot wooden fence.  He is definitely a fence jumper!  We love this boy and don’t want to take any chances that he will end up lost again.  Boomer was born on 6/23/14 and weighs 70 pounds.  He is neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped.   If you are interested in applying to adopt please visit our website at  You will find the link under the adoption tab.
