Chance is a 23 pound pup who is about 9 years old.  We believe he might be a cross between a Jack Russell and Feist.  He is considered special needs due to a severe skin/coat condition.  Chance wandered up to a construction site back in 2016 and eventually ended up with a rescue organization in another county here in NC.  He was adopted out to a family but they felt his condition was too much for them and they returned him to his original rescue.  Since it seemed that the hope of him finding another home was slim we offered to take him and try and work with his skin condition.  Chance has a type of seborrhea which causes his skin to be mildly flaky and his coat to be very greasy.  He is currently on a couple of medications and gets bathed twice a week with special shampoo to help control his condition.  This will more than likely be a lifelong condition for Chance.  He cooperates very nicely with his bath and generally is a very sweet boy.  Chance gets along with other dogs as long as they don’t try and engage him in play.  While Chance does well in the kennel, we are really hoping there is someone out there than can deal with his particular issue.  He deserves the opportunity to have a home of his own. Chance is up to date on vaccines, has been neutered, is heartworm negative, and microchipped.  His adoption fee is $150.  More photos at:
