Paisley

Paisley is a sweet girl who is approximately 3 years (est. DOB 7/1/2016) old and weighs 21 pounds. She came into our adoption center recently from a local shelter where she was surrendered by her owner because she could no longer care for her. The shelter was informed that she was a long hair dachshund and beagle mix.  At some point in Paisley’s past she had an injury to one of her front legs.  She puts some weight on it when standing and occasionally uses it when slowly walking.  When she runs she holds it out straight in front and a little off the ground.  We x-rayed both of her front legs and there is no evidence of a break.  Her limp is more than likely the result of some nerve damage.  According to the information that her previous owner gave to the shelter her leg has been that way for some time.  We have thoroughly examined her leg and she does not show any signs of pain.  Paisley gets along well with dogs but has not yet been tested with cats.  She is super sweet and very compliant with her exam.  She has a loving gaze and is going to make someone a wonderful companion.  Paisley is heartworm positive and has started on her pre-treatment regimen.  She will be ready for her first heartworm injection in about three weeks.  She is current on vaccines, is spayed, and microchipped. If you are interested in Paisley, please fill out an adoption application on our website at www.tysorvet.net.  You will find the application located under the adoption tab.
